The Weather APP

I have the KY 3 weather app on my phone and it is a wonderful tool. There is this voice that comes on my phone and tells me when a storm is approaching. It will also tell me if lighting has been detected in my area and when it is about to rain. I will never forget the first time I heard that voice. It was in the middle of the night and you might say that my fear came upon me! I sat straight up in the bed and was sure someone had entered my room.

A similar thing has happened to me before, but with a different voice. Many times, it has happened to me in the midst of a storm. The storms that happen in life. A still small voice has spoken to me in the middle of the night. I have been to the place in my life when I wasn’t sure God was listening. I felt that He had become occupied with bigger problems and had forgotten about me. Then, here comes that voice. He tells us in Malachi 3:10 to be faithful and give to him what is already His. He says, test Him, and He will show you that He will open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing for you until it overflows.

FLOOD WARNING! Until it overflows He says. When something overflows, it usually gets on something or someone else. I want to be faithful to God in everything I do. I want blessings to pour out on me until there is enough to spill over onto others. If all of us would do that, we could create a river of life at the Sanctuary of Hope. A place where the dry and thirty, the hurting and needy and the hungry and lost could find shelter in the midst of their storm. They could be filled to overflowing with the blessings of God. Get your weather app installed today. Turn it on and listen for the voice to tell you, “It’s about to rain!”
