Joshua 2:1 “Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go, look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there.”

I love the story of Rahab not just because I can identify with her. In many ways, I certainly can. To say that I’ve colored outside the lines would be an understatement. What I love so much about this story is what little she brings to the table compared to what God blesses her with. You see her story is marked at every turn by God’s abundant grace and His complete faithfulness. Rahab’s faith in God put her in places she never would have thought possible. Her story is not only a lesson in faith, it is a lesson in God’s ability to use our limited abilities for great things when we are obedient to Him.

The stories of what God is doing in our lives follow us. When you belong to the Lord you are marked by His grace. The evidence of His faithfulness is stamped on you. The stories people tell about you are different. Have you heard the phrase, “Your reputation precedes you?” I want you to understand that if you are walking in obedience to the Lord, your reputation will precede you. The people of Jericho knew who was coming. Each of them had a choice to choose who they would serve. Friends, I want you to know that the greatest gospel message ever presented is a life marked by the stamp of the creator. A life lived for Christ is the greatest gospel message many will ever see. Do not take for granted the impact your life can make for the Kingdom of God.
