The Importance of Forgiveness

He said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. Pay attention to yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” - Luke 17:1-4

It’s easy to get offended but it’s hard to be in the habit of forgiveness. The more we are ready to forgive the less we will be offended. Help us Lord to forgive as you forgave us. Help us to grow into your likeness and not the likeness of this world. Give us sight and eyes to see your ways and not our own.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,” - Titus 3:5 NKJV
