Listen to Sarah

In Genesis 21:9-12, Now Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking Isaac. Therefore she said to Abraham, “Drive out this slave woman and her son for the son of this slave woman shall not be an heir with my son Isaac.” The matter distressed Abraham greatly because of his son Ishmael. But God said to Abraham, “Do not be distressed because of the boy and your slave women, whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for through Isaac your descendants shall be named.”

I have often been told, “listen to Sarah (Ellen).” Often in my married life I failed to listen to Sarah (Ellen) and situations did not work out favorably. However, recently we had a decision, and I was going to do one thing and she said let’s do another. In my head I heard, “listen to Sarah (Ellen).” I did and she was right. Guys we need to listen to our wives like Abraham listened to his. The same God that directed Abraham directs us.
