Jesus is...Everlasting Father

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us: and the government will rest on is shoulder and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

The world has given us a wrong picture of a true father. As we look around us, it seems that we have a shortage of godly models of a father. According to statistics, 1 out of 3 children live without their biological father. For some who have a father, they might be a brute or irresponsible. But no matter how good or bad your earthly father has been…God wants to be a good-good Father to you, and the world.

Promise Number 1: God loves You

For God so loved the world…John 3:16. This verse expresses God’s love for all of us. God’s love is everlasting, never ceasing and always for us.

Promise Number 2: God gives live as a Father

Jesus said, “I come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly” John 10:10. God the Father is rightly called to be our Father because He gives us life and purpose and continues to give it to us. Every single moment of our lives is a gift from God. He sustains us and lives through us. God created all things through Jesus Christ Ephesians 3:9.

Promise Number 3: God gives us purpose as our Father

Jesus answered the scribe, the first commandment is, Hear O Israel the Lord God our God the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. This is the first commandment and the second; like it is this: you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:29-31

God gives us real purpose in that we need to get our eyes off of us and get them on Him and others. Loving Him and doing His Word is our main purpose.

Promise Number 4: God always want to communicate with us

Promise Number 5: God wants to provide for us

Promise Number 6: God wants to correct us for our profit

Promise Number 7: God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him

I could go on and on about God as our Father and I pray you see Father God as a good-good Father.
