Jesus is All Knowing, Ever Present and Has All Authority

Raise your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who brings out their multitude by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing. Isaiah 40:26

Jesus is Omniscient. Basically, He knows everything. Nothing is hidden from Him. Jesus knew when Lazarus died. He knew the man from Gadarenes was possessed and in need of deliverance. Jesus knew Zacchaeus was in the tree watching Him pass by. He knew Judas would betray Him and He knew when His time had come to suffer the cross. He knows the number of hairs on your head, your struggles, your joyful times and He knows the plans He has for you.

Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, Lord, You know it all. You have encircled me behind and in front, And placed Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot comprehend it. Psalm 139:1-6

Jesus is Omnipresent. Jesus is everywhere at the same time. He is not confined to space or time. Brian Anderson wrote, “This one doctrine could be the greatest motivator to holiness we’ll ever learn.” If we can fully be aware that Jesus is always with us, always sees us and is always watching then there is nothing He isn’t ready to help with because He sees what is happening. Praying without ceasing takes on a whole new meaning. He is right there watching, ready to intervene, all we have to do is ask.

Can a person hide himself in hiding places so that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 23:24

Jesus is Omnipotent. He has all authority and unlimited power. The Bible tells us there is nothing He can’t do. The demons know Him and tremble. The winds obey His command and He once told the disciples that if the people did not praise Him the rocks would cry out. Again, I quote Brian Anderson regarding God’s omnipotence. He said that there are some things that God can’t do, he can’t go against His nature, he “can’t lie, sin, violate His Word, deny Himself, cease to exist.” In consistently maintaining His nature, His power is unlimited and His authority is all encompassing.

Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40:28

Trust God today. He knows all, He is right there with you and has unlimited authority to meet your needs. Others may betray us, things may bring discouragement but we know the one who CAN and WILL meet our needs!
