Hope Remains

Even though it seems that we’re swallowed up with troubles and trials and hardships, our hope remains. I was reminded this morning of this hope that we have as Paul gives us an order of service.

  • The Lord, Christ himself, will come down.

  • There will be a lot of noise

  • The dead believers will rise first.

  • The Christians, who are still alive on earth will rise next.

  • Then everyone meets together with Christ in the air.

  • That’s the beginning of this endless worship service.

This is our hope, this is our strength. This is our security.

“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”   I Thessalonians 4:15-18 NKJV
