Facing Uncertain Days...Stability is Needed

One of my favorite older hymns is Great Is Thy Faithfulness by Mr. Thomas Chisholm. It is taken from Lamentations 3:22-23. Great is Thy Faithfulness! Great is Thy Faithfulness! Morning by morning, new mercies I see. All I have needed, Thy hand has provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

So, in the midst of a pandemic, inflation, war and on and on, we can only look up and know our redemption is near and we find stability in God, the God whose faithfulness is great. Like the author of Lamentations, we freely cry out to God in our pain, anxiety or confusion. But the key is remembering God’s steadfast love and daily mercies toward His children, we also proclaim God’s faithfulness, and therefore we have HOPE!

Today, for I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear not, I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
