Be Still

Stand still. Listen to me. Did you hear what I said? Those were words I heard often as a child. I know you can’t believe that by looking at me now, but there was a time I was a very energetic child. I think it’s mostly because my mother was chasing me around trying to warm up my behind! She had to get me to be still so I could hear what she had to say. Most of the time it was some sort of instruction. I was always trying to fix things myself, only to make it worse. If I would have just left it to my mom and dad, it would have been solved a lot better. That is the same way with God. He even had to tell us in Psalms 46:10, “Be still and k now that I am God.”
Just like a child we need to stop and listen and let God be God. When I was going through cancer a sweet lady from our church always to told me, “God has got this.” I found out he did, and he always does. Now it’s up to you. No matter what you are going through, Stop and Listen. Let him be God.
