1 Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
This verse is quite precious to me because it is not only a reminder, it’s a promise. Our labor given to the Lord is never in vain. For some water and some reap the harvest but one is not above the other.
Our encouragement is not found in what is seen but through our relationship with the Lord. It is Him who sustains us and Him who we submit to. He doesn’t ask for results He asks for obedience. The outcome is up to Him while obedience is up to us.
Success is not based on what is seen or how you feel, but rather, did you obey? Whatever task He has asked of you as daunting as it may seem is not performance based. It’s quite simple, trust and obey. All the fulfillment lies in the simplicity of those two things. Do not grow weary in well doing for the goal is your surrender and obedience and the outcome is His responsibly.
