Words from Your Mouth...They are Weighty!

Sticks and stones may break your bones but words can build or destroy.

Read and Study - Psalm 50:23

1. Proverbs 18:21 – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

What kind of fruit are you speaking? Have you wanted to retract some words before?

1. Mark 11:22-24 – Speak to the mountain! “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him.”

Are you being bold today and speaking…praying out loud?

1. Matthew 12:36 – “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.”

Your words are weighty with God…..Should we be more careful when we speak? When we speak to family members are we harsh and more negative?

1. Colossians 4:6 – “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”

Are you speaking as God wants?

1. James 3:2 – “For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature person, able to bridle the whole body as well.”

Father God, this new year help me to be calmer with my words and my speech. Help me speak Life! Reread Psalm 50:23
